Vmware Configuration File (VMX file)
Once downloaded, just open with your favorite text editor and make sure the "scsi0:0.fileName" entry matches the name of your vmdk file and copy it to the directory where the vmdk resides.
(This was only tested on the latest version of Vmware Server. In theory you should be able to drop it in the directory with the extracted vmdk file and the .vmx will find it)

NOTE: For Virtual Box, we are providing the hard drive file. This will allow you to configure the virtual machine appropriately for your hardware and software. Parallels users should download the VMware install as Parallels will import VMware disks. We are in the process of documenting the setup procedures for each of these if you are not familiar with creating/configuring a new virtual machine.

How to increase the VMware drive size non-destructively.
md5sum incorrect for vb vdi and iso
Also http://appseclive.org/apt/downloads/all-wte-files does not show a list of files like the page suggests.
I have tried downloading the rar for vdi and iso multiple times in two days without success. Archives are corrupted or the server is not serving them correctly.
Can you seed using bittorrent? That is commonly the best solution for big files like these.
I am heading to the Minnesotta conference and I received instructions to download the software from here but at this point after two days I need to give up. Can you please help?

md5sum issues

Thanks for pointing out the problems with the MD5SUMS. I'm very close to pushing out some new versions of WTE. I'll fix those sums while I'm updating WTE generally. Look for updated versions for VirtualBox (.vdi) and VMware (.vmdk) within the next 24 hours. I'll also be pushing some new .deb files to the repository as well.
I plan on having them ready for download no later then Monday, September 12th ~ 8:00 AM CDT. (Austin, Texas time).

md5sum issues and corrupt archives
Matt,
I too have been trying to download the files and when I get them they are corrupt and the md5sums do not match. I have attempted to use all of the md5sums and sha1sums to no avail.
I agree with Nestor and would like to offer up a solution. I have a computer acting as a torrent server which is up 24x7 and I am offering to host these and any future releases via torrent download.
